This product replaces the Display and CPU board in your HarvestRight Freeze Dryer.

It does NOT use a touch screen as in your current HR implementation.  It uses a 2 inch color TFT Text Display with 5 buttons to control menu selections.

The product provides a Ethernet Jack for you to connect your Freeze Dryer to your Local Network and/or Internet.  The product contains an internal Web Server that allows all operations to be performed on a computer, pad, or phone.  It DOES NOT connect to an external Web Server as HR does – as stated – the Web Server is internal to the product.

The BIG difference between the capabilities provided by the HR CPU and my product is that I provide you with the ability to create and use eight (8) different Profiles or Receipts with different implementations for Freeze Drying FOOD or CANDY.  Unlike HR’s simple one temperature selection process – I provide you with Profiles having multiple Temperatures and Actions.  This product provides you with the ability to control the Complete Freeze Drying Process usually only available in machines costing thousands of dollar more.

You have complete access to your Freeze Dryer’s Status while it’s in operation via your phone or computer to monitor its progress.

If the product you are Freeze Drying is sensitive to Temperatures above a certain point, I provide an additional add-on product that can REMOVE Power to the Tray Heaters – thereby NOT Over-Cooking your product should you experience an Over-Temp situation.  The CPU enables you to SET a Specific Maximum Tray Temperature.  Should the Tray Temp exceed this temperature, power to the tray heater is Disconnected with YOU being notified.  The System can be configured to keep the tray heater disconnected until released by YOU, or YOU can re-enable operation and let the drying process continue.  Either way – your Product is protected from Over Temp.  HarvestRight can NOT provide this capability nor can any other product on the market today provide this kind of Over-Temp protection.

On a more technical side, HarvestRight uses an internal CPU which has a 12 bit ADC (Analog to Digital Convertor) – which provides about 8 bits of data once noise is removed.  Those 8 bits relate to the Resolution associated with reading your Ambient and Tray Temperature and your Vacuum level.  I use a 24 bit ADC giving about 20 bits of resolution.  What that means is that I can read and detect changes in Temperature and Vacuum MUCH Smaller than HR can.  Example, – HR measures a Football Field in Yards, I measure it in Inches.

The product has the capability to detect if you just experienced a short-term Power Bump.  Unlike HR where you have to start from the beginning, I evaluate if Temperatures, Vacuum, and Timing allow you to Pickup from where the process was prior to the Power Bump.

Freeze Drying is Vastly different from Freeze Drying Food.  HR gives you a HI-Temp setting that says its in Candy Mode.  I provide you the ability to define a multi-Temperature Candy Profile with the ability to also define when Vacuum is applied (Candy is all about your product temperature, WHEN Vacuum is applied, and how long to apply Vacuum)  These in-depth Food and Candy Profiles are defined by YOU with 8 different ones to customize.

My CPU/Display/Ethernet product is Designed and Manufactured in the USA and comes with a 12 month warranty related to part failures.  Within the first 30 days – System Parts are replaced on my dime.  Outside of 30 days but within 1 year -System Parts are repaired at no cost other than you pay shipping to me.  Outside of 1 year, System Parts can be repaired for $25 to $50 with you paying shipping both ways.  Please Note:  I have designed is product so that major components can be REPLACED which means you DO NOT have to replace the whole board if one of these parts fail.  Parts are are easily replaced include the Display, CPU (Microcontroller), and Ethernet Interface Module.

The product is currently in beta testing and should be available in August/September .
